Krista Detor is an award-winning composer, pianist and singer-songwriter whose music defies easy categorization. With her expressive, sultry voice, artful song crafting, intelligent, heartfelt lyrics, and razor-sharp wit, she will delight you with a performance that you won’t soon forget. Based in Bloomington, IN, she has toured extensively throughout the U.S. and Europe, and has a world-wide reputation.

Her album Mudshow (2005) launched Detor on the world stage, while release of The Silver Wood: Winter Songs (2007), established her as a favorite during the winter holidays.  Since then, her solo albums have reached national and international prominence, including #1 on the EuroAmerican chart. She’s shared stages with Victor Wooten, The Neville Bros., and Loudon Wainwright, among many others; and collaborated on the award-winning stage show and CD of Wilderness Plots with Carrie Newcomer and Tim Grimm.

Her most recent release, Chaos, Collisions and Clocks: The Best of Krista Detor, (2019) features such Hoosier notables as Amanda Biggs and Jason Wilber.

“She is not just a songwriter, nor accomplished musician, nor poignant entertainer – I have been awed by the soul-punching talent of Krista Detor.”  WNC Magazine

In 2020, she launched The Hundredth Hill Artist Residence and Retreat, along with her husband, David Weber, on their 50-acre homestead in northern Monroe County.
